Pregnant woman critically wounded in double shooting in Homewood

Two women with gunshot wounds went to a local hospital for treatment Sunday evening.

One of the women, who is pregnant, was listed in critical condition, according to a Pittsburgh police spokesman. The second woman was in stable condition. Police did not identify at what hospital the women sought treatment.

Officers could not say specifically what time the shooting occurred, or where, but they noted that the women arrived at the hospital about 6:45 p.m., and that the city's ShotSpotter gunfire detection system recorded shots fired in the 6900 block of Kelly Street in Homewood a short time before that.

Casings were found at the scene, police said.
