Pittsburgh city officials want the public’s input for an online data application.
Introduced in November, the Burgh’s Eye View app lets people explore a variety of police calls, 311 requests, building permits, code violations and other city data. The internet-based program features an interactive map.
To help explain the set-up and gather feedback, a city analytics and strategy team has visited with seven neighborhood groups and plans to attend 10 more community meetings, according to Mayor Bill Peduto’s office. The team is “particularly interested in what additional information residents want to easily access,” the administration said in a news release.
Those meetings include four set for Tuesday: 5:30 p.m. at the Brashear Association, 2005 Sarah St.; 6:30 p.m. at the Hazelwood Healthy Active Living Center, 5344 Second Ave.; 7 p.m. at Arnold’s Tea, 502 E. Ohio St.; and 7:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, 971 Beech Ave.
Additional visits are set for community meetings at noon Wednesday at St. Regis Parish Social Hall, 3235 Parkview Ave.; 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Byzantine Seminary, 3605 Perrysville Ave.; 6 p.m. Feb. 21 at First United Methodist Church, 5401 Centre Ave.; 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at Accamando Center, 2410 Saw Mill Run Boulevard; 7 p.m. March 8 at Most Holy Name School Hall, 1520 Claim St.; and 6:30 p.m. March 15 at Sunnyside Elementary School, 4801 Stanton Ave.
