Allegheny County SWAT officers looking for a man wanted in a Pittsburgh shooting last week completed their search of a home in Crafton, finding no one inside.
Crafton police received information that L.G. Wilson, who is wanted in a shooting last week in Fineview in which a woman caught in a crossfire between two groups was critically wounded, was holed up in a home on Mueller Avenue early today.
Crafton police Chief Mark Sumpter said police were called to the home, located in the 400 block, at around 6 a.m. for a "juvenile incident," but declined to elaborate. Through their investigation and through interviews with neighbors, Chief Sumpter said police learned that Mr. Wilson might be inside the home. They ordered the residents, a woman and her three children, out of the home and then called for SWAT officers to search the home.

Just before 9:30 a.m., police sounded sirens and summoned the suspect over a loudspeaker . Three loud bangs were heard as officers surrounded the home.
"This is the Allegheny County police. Come out of the house with your hands up," they announced.
Officers searched the home from top to bottom, but found no one inside.
Chief Sumpter said he believes Mr. Wilson has been at the home within the past week.
