Registration opens for Taglit-Birthright Israel program

Summer registration for the Taglit-Birthright Israel program for young Jewish adults began yesterday as part of the 60th anniversary of Israel's founding.

By this summer, the 8-year-old program, which provides all-expenses paid 10-day trips, will have sent more than 180,000 Jews from around the world to Israel. More than 20,000 North American Jews are expected to participate this summer, visiting archeological, cultural and spiritual sites.

To register for summer trips, apply at www.birthrightisrael.com.
