Thank goodness

good feedback

Thank you for this new goodness section in the Post-Gazette. While my husband and I are print subscribers, most days we read the paper online and peruse the print section on the three days (soon to be two) of actual print. So much of the news today is negative and disheartening. Add to this all of the safety restrictions due to COVID and it is difficult to feel positive. Some days I don’t even want to hear the news broadcasts on radio and television as it only focuses on good news during the last few minutes of the broadcast.

So it was especially gratifying to read each and every page and article of this new section. Each article was upbeat and feel good. By the way, I have been purchasing challah from the Challah Back Girls for a number of months. Not only is their bread better than the challahs that I make, but also their mission is very important. I am certain that the publicity has been a two-edged sword. I just order some challah and the normal one-week wait time has been extended to two weeks. Well worth the wait.

I am retired with two registered therapy dogs. We have been regular weekly volunteers at Children’s Hospital as well as making visits to schools and libraries. Not only am I staying home during this pandemic, but also my dogs are “unemployed.” So I was delighted to read all of the positive stories in this new section. Kudos to your reporters and writers.
