A new brewery tap room has announced its “soft opening” this weekend.
Strange Roots Experimental Ales at 4399 Gibsonia Road in West Deer has been home to the brewery for what had been called Draai Laag Brewing Co. The business rebranded last month, changing the name of the original tap room in Millvale, too. Opening this tap room at the brewery is the next step.
Strange Roots’ announcement Friday on social media says that “to give our staff a little practice and work out some of the kinks,” it’s opening the new tap room from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Saturday and Sunday, customers will be able to purchase food from the Pittsburgh Smokehouse truck.
