LG Electronics — the South Korean manufacturer of televisions, smartphones and more — has signed onto a multi-year agreement with Southpointe-based Ansys to use its simulation software.
The companies say this partnership, announced Tuesday morning, will lead to accelerated product development for LG.
“Their portfolio of next generation simulation technologies will empower our talented engineering team with highly advanced capabilities, spurring the development of innovative, state-of-the-art LG products and expediting our path to market,” Sang Kook Kim, product development team task leader for LG, said in a prepared statement.
As of 10:15 a.m., Ansys shares were trading for $191.45.
