PVR, Regency Merger Approved

PVR, Regency Merger Approved

Stockholders in PVR Partners, L.P., approved a merger with Regency Energy Partners LP on Thursday, finalizing a deal struck in October.

At a special meeting, 99.3 percent of unitholders voted to adopt the Agreement and Plan of Merger dated Oct. 9, 2013, as amended.

Under the agreement, Regency agreed to acquire PVR in a unit-for-unit transaction. The companies expect to close the merger today.

PVR owns the Wyoming pipeline, which transports natural gas from wells in Susquehanna and northern Wyoming counties to the Transco interstate pipeline in Dallas Township, as well as a metering station to measure the gas going into the Transco pipeline and the Chapin natural gas dehydration station on state Route 309 in Monroe Township.
