Goodbye, blue light special. Hello blacklight mini-golf.
Scene 75, a Dayton, Ohio-based family entertainment company, announced plans to build Pennsylvania’s the largest indoor entertainment center inside a recently closed Kmart in Edgewood.
The 90,000-square-foot location will include 12 different attractions including: indoor go-karts, laser tag, four food trucks, inflatables, blacklight mini-golf, virtual reality headsets, bumper cars, 4-D motion theater and 120 arcade games. The facility is expected to employ 150 people, according to a press release.
This will be Scene75’s fourth location and first outside of Ohio. The company operates entertainment centers in Cincinnati, Dayton and Cleveland.
'We've been looking for an opportunity in the Pittsburgh market for a long time, and when the opportunity in Edgewood came available, we knew there was no better chance,” said Jonah Sandler, Scene 75’s founder and chief executive officer.
“There may be others that have provide similar entertainment experiences, whether it be laser tag or go-karts, but very few will provide it all in one place like we will, open all year long.”
The company aims to open the facility later this year.
