Awards and Honors
Aleem Gangjee, distinguished professor of medicinal chemistry and holder of the Van Kaam, C.S.Sp., Endowed Chair in Scholarly Excellence at Duquesne University, was recognized with the elite American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists Award in Drug Discovery and Development Interface. The award reflects Gangjee's efforts to produce efficient, hard-working compounds that abate cancer by acting in ways that usually require more than one agent.
The Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators honored a Duquesne University professor of educational leadership.
James Henderson, professor and co-director of the University Council for Educational Administration Center for Educational Leadership and Social Justice, received the PASA 2012 Award of Achievement for Service to the Profession. Mr. Henderson was recognized for his commitment to excellence through notable service.
