Public's help needed to identify body found in river

Allegheny County Medical Examiner Dr. Karl E. Williams is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying a man recovered from the Allegheny River, near the Fort Duquesne Bridge, on Sunday.

The man was white, about 6-feet-3, 195 pounds, with reddish brown buzz cut hair and a beard.

He was wearing tan cargo shorts, black T-shirt, black socks, and black Jordan athletic shoes.

He also had a tattoo of a joker, a tattoo of a scorpion and a tattoo that said "Me and my girlfriend."

Anyone who might have information is asked to call the medical examiner's office at 412-350-4800 or city police at 412-323-7161. Both numbers answer 24 hours a day.
