Some remain without power after Thursday storms

Allegheny Power engineers are working to restore electricity to several thousand customers who lost power after Thursday evening's storms.

About 6,000 of some 21,000 who lost power in Thursday's high winds -- most in Fayette, Greene and Washington counties -- remain without power, Allegheny Power representatives said.

They said they hope to restore power to remaining customers this afternoon.
