A Carnegie man accused of throwing rocks at cars on the Parkway West for a two-year span pleaded no contest yesterday to all 40 counts against him.
Jeffrey Angelo Ramous, 50, will be sentenced May 11 by Allegheny County Judge Edward J. Borkowski. By agreement, he will be sentenced only for aggravated assault, the most serious of the charges against him. He faced 10 counts each of aggravated assault, propulsion of a missile, risking catastrophe and reckless endangerment.
Mr. Ramous was arrested in March 2007. He admitted to police that he threw projectiles from the Norfolk Southern Railway trestle between the Green Tree and Carnegie exits more than 150 feet onto the roadway about 100 times with the intention of causing accidents.
