A Western Pennsylvania mother accused of threatening her daughters with a stun gun will take parenting classes in exchange for charges being dropped.
Thirty-four-year-old Michele Hopkins, of Bridgewater, was charged with child endangerment and related offenses. Under Friday's agreement in Beaver County Court, she'll take classes for 12 weeks.
Authorities say Hopkins' 11-year-old daughter said her mother regularly threatened her and her 9-year-old sister with the gun so they'd do chores.
Ms. Hopkins says they made up the accusations under pressure from their father. The couple is divorcing.
Jeffrey Young, of Brighton Township, has pleaded guilty to child endangerment.
