The Port Authority reopened the Library light-rail transit line early this morning after crews completed repairs to the downed electrical wire that disrupted service yesterday afternoon.
The Port Authority ran shuttle buses along the entire line, from Library to Washington Junction during the interruption.
Port Authority spokesman David Whipkey said the service disruption occurred about 5:15 p.m. when the pantograph on one of the cars snagged on an overhead electrical line and pulled it down. Officials were going to determine why that happened.
