One killed in crash

A man died early this morning after he drove his minivan off a Fayette County road and crashed into a parked truck.

The man's name has not been released, pending notification of his relatives.

State police said he was northbound on Route 857 in Spring Hill when he crossed into the wrong lane of traffic, lost control of his minivan and plowed into a parked truck on Springhill Furnace Road. The force of the crash pushed the truck into another parked car and started a fire. All three vehicles were destroyed, police said.
