Water main break closes Rt. 885

Water main break closes Rt. 885

Police tonight said a water main break on Route 885 in West Mifflin caused them to shut down a portion of the roadway because the surface was buckling.

Police said the break happened around 6:40 p.m. and quickly flooded portions of Lebanon Road between Noble and Irwin Run roads.

Pennsylvania American Water Co. crews were on the scene. It was unclear how many residents were without water.
