Police check possible child abduction attempt

Police check possible child abduction attempt

A 6-year-old boy said a man in a car tried to grab him as he and a playmate were riding bikes in a Butler County trailer park.

State police are treating the incident, which occurred around 6 p.m. yesterday, as a possible attempted abduction. They would like to identify the driver.

The boy and his 10-year-old friend were in the Beacon Lite Trailer Park in Center Township when a bright red Plymouth pulled in front of them. The driver reached out the door with two hands as if to grab the younger boy.

Two other people, possibly teenagers, were in the car, which had a loud exhaust, a rear spoiler and a sticker with a checkered flag design in the rear window. No one said anything to the boys.
