A Mentor, Ohio, man was sentenced today to 9 to 25 years in jail after being convicted of two counts of homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol.
Denise DeLancey, chief probation officer for Indiana County, said George Thur, 38, was also ordered to pay nearly $20,000 in restitution to the estates of David Craig, 29, and his wife, Denise, 31, of Shelocta, who were both killed.
In June 2004, state police said, Thur was traveling westbound on Route 422 when he crossed the center lane in his pickup truck and smashed into another pickup truck driven by David Craig.
