ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson came out swinging at NBC.
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. -- I missed the post-executive session gaggle around ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson yesterday because I was writing about his "Lost" gaffe, so I didn't get to hear him go off on new NBC Entertainment Co-chairman Ben Silverman, who replaced McPherson buddy Kevin Reilly, who's now Fox Entertainment president. Here's a link to an account of McPherson's outburst by Ed Bark.

The creator of ABC's "Traveler" claims he won't reveal the secrets of his show's series finale because a "save the show" campaign "has been noticed at ABC. So, I will wait and see how this plays out."
He needn't wait long. McPherson said the network didn't support the show with a larger marketing/media blitz because they were unhappy with how it turned out.
"We were disappointed in the way that that show creatively developed and ended up being just not to the level that we thought it could succeed," he said, "So it didn't get the kind of support that, you know, we gave some other shows that we believed in a lot more."
Clearly the network had no faith in "Traveler" before it even premiered, so no "save the show" campaign is going to work. No reason not to spill the details now.
