It may be cold outside, but things are about to heat up inside the Byham Theater, Downtown, when the Tango Fire Company of Buenos Aires brings the spice and sophistication of "Tango Inferno" to town Saturday as part of the Pittsburgh Dance Council's 2010-11 season.
Where: Byham Theater, Downtown.
When: 8 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets: $19 to $45; www.pgharts.org or 412-456-6666.

The company, under the choreographic direction of Yanina Fajar and assistant choreographer German Cornejo, has a saucy evening of new singing, dancing and costuming planned for Pittsburgh, said Tango Fire dancer Juan Malizia. The two-act production brings the evolution of tango's history to the stage.
Live music will complement the all-star cast, which boasts some world tango champions from the competition circuit.
Audiences are "really going to enjoy this show," Mr. Malizia said.
While the company has Argentine roots, its success spans the globe. Dancers have tours lined up for Turkey and the United Kingdom this spring, Mr. Malizia said. Television shows such as the Fox reality program "So You Think You Can Dance" have further ignited people's interest in the style.
"That's a very good thing for the tango world," he said.
What's special about "Tango Inferno" is that it offers audiences a glimpse at how the Argentine tango differs from the American style and what they typically may see on TV, Mr. Malizia said.
"We can show the people what the real tango dancing is."
