Late-night talkman Jimmy Kimmel,
a k a Sarah Silverman's boo, had to have an emergency appendectomy Wednesday night.
We're sure both of them can mine weeks worth of jokes out of this.
Anyway, new episodes of "Jimmy Kimmel Live" won't be taped until the host recovers.
We know, we know, we're crying, too.
Honestly, we are, on the inside -- remember what Eddie Murphy said about being a karate man?
Yeah, it's like that.

Apparently, nobody wants Capt. James T. Kirk going where no man has gone before anymore, and he ain't happy about it.
Page Six is reporting that producers for "Star Trek XI" have offered our favorite Vulcan, Spock (Leonard Nimoy), a cameo in the upcoming flick.
Howevah, William Shatner was offered nothing, nada, zilch. Word is he'd been lobbying for a role, too.
But would he even have time? You know he's got "Boston Legal" and those Priceline commercials to do.
"Mission Impossible III" helmer J.J. Abrams is set to start shooting later this year.

Usher's fiance Tameka Foster sets the record straight in Essence.
You know, there have been more rumors about these two than Ben & Jerry's got flavors.
But Ms. Tameka says believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.
First off, she is not pregnant by her ex-husband. Secondly, Usher did not wreck her marriage. It was already over when the two got together.
She explains that she was Usher's stylist and at times he would seek her opinion on not just fashion but life. He was dating Chili of TLC at the time, and, since Tameka is 10 years older than Mr. Raymond, she would give him the December perspective.
Anyway, she said they were friends for seven years and yada, yada, yada. Now they're engaged.
And it must be love because as Ms. Foster states, she's 36 with three kids so she doesn't have the body of a 21-year-old.
But he accepts her as she is, she said.
Ain't that what love is all about?

We told y'all, Isaiah Washington was not going to go quietly.
The former "Grey's Anatomy" star, who's contract was not renewed by ABC, is fighting for his good name, he tells the Houston Chronicle.
Mr. Washington said he did all the things ABC asked of him after he was accused of calling cast mate T.R. Knight a derogatory word for gay. That included rehab, PSAs, etc.
But now he's saying that Knight is the one who got things twisted by letting folks think that Isaiah was referring to him. According to Isaiah, he used the slur while talking to co-star Patrick Dempsey during an argument.
"I apologized for that. "We shook hands and went back to work," Isaiah told the Chronicle.
We weren't there so, you know, we don't know what happened.
But we do think Mr. Washington needs to just move on.

John Mayer, Jessica Simpson's ex-flame, may be ringing up Penelope Cruz, another star who doesn't let any grass grow under her feet when it comes to dating.
New York Daily News is reporting that Ms. Cruz and her new BFF, Shakira, went to the after-party for John's June 10 concert in Hollywood.
Later, he was spotted getting PC's phone number.
Speaking of Jess ... she gains the coveted spot on US Weekly, on stands tomorrow.
The story's all about her 20-pound weight loss -- again.
Guess they'll have to take her Daisy Dukes in.
