The Steelers turnover-plagued performance in Cleveland was ugly, but it doesn’t compare to their sloppiest performance in the Super Bowl area.

In 1979, the season in which they won their fourth Super Bowl, the Steelers lost to the 1-6 Cincinnati Bengals, 34-10, in Riverfront Stadium – a game in which they had nine turnovers.

The Steelers lost seven fumbles in that game and Terry Bradshaw threw two interceptions. Two of the fumbles were returned for touchdowns by the Bengals, who won four games that season.
