Pennsylvania State Police have charged a man with homicide in the shooting of a South Huntingdon man who was found dead in a driveway Monday night.
Lee J. Atwood, 54, of Irwin, went to a residence in South Huntingdon to collect money owed to him, said Trooper Stefani Plume.
That is where he found George R. Williams, 46, and, Trooper Plume said, the two men argued before Mr. Williams punched Mr. Atwood in the face.
Trooper Plume said Mr. Atwood returned to the residence later and shot Mr. Williams.
Mr. Atwood is also charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
The Westmoreland County coroner's office identified Mr. Williams as the victim earlier today. The body was found about 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Route 31 in South Huntingdon.
