State police have arrested the son-in-law of a man who had been stabbed nine times and found Wednesday night in a car in Westmoreland County.
Michael A. Martin, 40, of Charleroi was arrested today in connection with the homicide of Earl Weygandt, 67, also of Charleroi, state police in Greensburg said.
Mr. Weygandt was found late Wednesday night in a smoking vehicle on Kalp Lane off Route 31. State police said the vehicle had overheated.
The Westmoreland County coroner examined Mr. Weygandt and determined that he was stabbed nine times, with the three most severe wounds to his neck, state police said, adding the wounds were not self-inflicted.
