The penalty phase of the trial of convicted triple-murderer Kevin Murphy has been postponed for at least a day, and maybe a week, because one of the jurors is sick.
Mr. Murphy, 52, was convicted Friday of killing his mother, sister and aunt at his Westmoreland County auto glass business in 2009.
The jury was to begin hearing evidence this morning to decide if he should be executed.
The trial may continue on Tuesday if the sick juror can make it to court. If not, the case will resume next Monday because a defense witness from North Carolina is unable to appear later this week.
