• Cellist Antonio Lysy and pianist Patricia Hoy will perform at the kickoff of the 2012-13 Joan Chambers Concert Series and part of the campus' 50th anniversary celebration, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mary Lou Campana Chapel and Lecture Center.

• The Billies, 8 p.m. Wednesday, Village Coffeehouse.

EXHIBITS

Monroeville -- Monroeville Public Library, 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd., is sponsoring an exhibit by Jeanne Moffatt Connors in its Gallery Space through the month of October and is available during regular library hours. Information: 412-372-0500.

FUNDRAISING

Hempfield -- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg will hold its annual golf outing at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 at Greensburg Country Club, 309 Pleasant Valley Road. Registration fee: $125, includes an additional free round of golf at the club. Proceeds benefit the President's Scholarship Fund, alumni association and athletic department. Oakmont -- St. Irenaeus Catholic School, 387 Maryland Ave., is holding a Ten Grand Dinner and Reverse Raffle at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 13. Donation: $100. Deadline: Wednesday. Information: 412-828-8444.

LECTURES/SEMINARS

Hempfield -- The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 150 Finoli Drive, off Mount Pleasant Road, will sponsor its 2012 St. Clair Lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Ferguson Theater. Speaker will be Frank A. Cassell, retired president of the campus, who will present "Remember the Battle of Bushy Run: Decisive Victory or Minor Skirmish," a lecture on the significance of the 1763 Battle of Bushy Run. MEETINGS

Murrysville -- Symphony East will meet at 11 a.m. Oct. 15 at Redstone Highlands, 4951 Cline Hollow Road. Lunch will be at noon, followed by a program featuring the Tenebrae Brass, based at Calvary Presbyterian Church, Indiana, Indiana County. Families of home-schooled children invited. RECREATION

Hempfield -- The Early Childhood Education program at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, 150 Finoli Drive, off Mount Pleasant Road, will sponsor a Day of Play from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday on the Chambers Lawn on campus in observance of Nickelodeon's annual Worldwide Day of Play. VOLUNTEERS
