The body of a New Castle man was discovered today floating in 10 feet of water in Kino Quarry in Lawrence County, state police reported.
A police statement said the cause of death of Dwight Edward Copper, 59, had not been determined, and an autopsy is planned Monday.
The body was discovered at about 2:40 p.m. by an individual visiting the quarry, located in Washington Township. Mr. Copper appeared to have been dead for about 24 hours, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy coroner.
