A 21-year-old woman died in a crash involving a tractor trailer on Interstate 79.

Sarah Marie Graham of Frederick, Md., was the passenger in a Ford Sedan traveling northbound around 4:30 p.m. near the 23 mile marker prior to the Marianna exit in Amwell, authorities said.

The driver lost control of the sedan, struck a guardrail and was hit by a tractor trailer, also headed northbound, authorities said.

Ms. Graham was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from Washington Coroner Tim Warco. The cause of death was blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was accidental.

The driver was transported to a Pittsburgh hospital, the coroner said.

The crash closed both northbound lanes of traffic and one southbound lane, an emergency dispatch supervisor said. All lanes have since reopened, state police said.
