![]() WYEP on local music
Friday, December 19, 2003
WYEP will look back on the year in local music with a two-hour special hosted by WYEP's Kyle Smith and Justin Hopper of the City Paper. The two will discuss the impact of the Pittsburgh music scene locally, nationally and internationally while spinning music by the likes of SodaJerk, Jim Donovan, Jim Dispirito, Three Generations Walking, Kevin Finn and Life in Bed. The program airs three times: Dec 24 at 4 p.m.; Jan. 1 at 11 a.m.; and Jan. 9 at 8 p.m.
FROGGY CAROLS
Local country bands are ringing in the season at Froggy (98.3 FM). At about 5:30 p.m. each weekday afternoon through Christmas eve, the bands play a holiday song live in the Froggy studio. North of Mason-Dixon, In the Saddle and Pure Country have already performed. The Povertyneck Hillbillies get the spotlight today. Monday it's Dallas Marks, Tuesday Ruff Creek, and Wednesday the Fabulous Gunslingers.
