![]() KDKA names new morning anchor Wednesday, September 03, 2003 By Rob Owen, Post-Gazette TV Editor
KDKA-TV reporter Kelli Olexia will replace Susan Barnett as Channel 2's 5 to 7 a.m. news anchor, effective Sept. 15. She'll anchor alongside Bruce Pompeani and weathercaster Rebecca Hower. Jon Burnett will move to weekend anchor duty.
Pompeani and Olexia also will anchor KDKA's noon news broadcast, according to news director Al Blinke.
In addition, time's up for weathercaster Locke Roberts. He was hired on a six-month contract to fill in while Hower was on maternity leave. His contract expires this month and will not be renewed.
