Swedish actress Lena Olin ("The Unbearable Lightness of Being") will join ABC's "Alias" this fall as a series regular.

Olin will play the mother of series lead Sydney Bristow (Jennifer Garner).

Olin's character was a KGB mole who faked her own death during Sydney's childhood and is now believed to be the leader of a renegade spy group.
