Pittsburghers, we do love our fireworks, even if they're on television.
WPXI will present live coverage of the EQT "Flashes of Freedom" fireworks extravaganza Thursday from 9-10 p.m., with an encore on PCNC at 11:30 p.m.
This "Fireworks Fantasia" will be broadcast in high definition using cameras on the ground and in the sky as part of WPXI's coverage of the Pittsburgh Regatta.
'Legend' lunches kick off
The first of four "Lunch With a Legend" programs is July 11, when 970 ESPN host Stan Savran broadcasts his show live from Morton's The Steakhouse. His guests will be former Steelers John Banaszak and L.C. Greenwood.

Comcast is making its Streampix service available free to Digital Starter subscribers through Sunday. Television series including "Private Practice," "Alias" and "House Hunters International" will be available, as well as movies including "A Knight's Tale" and "Sleepless in Seattle."
WQED patriotic programming
WQED-TV is airing patriotic programming Tuesday through July 7 that will include the annual PBS "A Capitol Fourth" special from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Tom Bergeron hosts with Pittsburgh native Jackie Evancho as part of the musical entertainment.
"A Capitol Fourth" airs live 8-9:30 p.m.
Other specials include documentaries on the Statue of Liberty (Tuesday, 8 p.m.) and Mount Rushmore (Tuesday, 9 p.m.) as well as "Gettysburg's New Battle: Saving the Stone Soldiers" (July 7, 3 p.m.), which looks at efforts to save and repair the battlefield's more than 1,300 monuments.
WQED-FM will broadcast American and patriotic music all day in honor of July 4 on Thursday, including the 7 p.m. special "The March King: John Philip Sousa."
In another WQED-FM programming special, "QED Morning Show" host Jim Cunningham is at the West Virginia University Keyboard Festival this week. Today, he will broadcast live from 6-9 a.m. and at 2 p.m. will host a special performance by the winner of this year's festival.
