Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment released an official trailer for the "Batman: Arkham Origins" video game while confirming that Deathstroke -- an assassin who first appeared in "The New Teen Titans" comic books in 1980 -- will be a playable character in challenge mode.
The game will be released worldwide Oct. 25, but IGN had a sneak peek Monday, calling the video game a throwback -- in a good way. Also new to the popular "Arkham" franchise is Troy Baker as the voice of the Joker, following Mark Hamill's long run in the role.
"Batman: Arkham Origins" features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel plot set several years before the events of "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City." The game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. Fans who preorder the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation3 system or Windows PC will receive early access to the Deathstroke pack.
