The outbound Squirrel Hill Tunnel will be closed for the next two weekends, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
Tentative dates for two closures of the inbound tunnel also have been announced as a $49.5 million rehabilitation project continues.
The outbound tunnel will close at 10 p.m. Friday and reopen by 6 a.m. Monday for the next two weekends. Traffic will be reduced to one lane and required to exit at Squirrel Hill. The on-ramp at South Braddock Avenue will remain open.
Inbound tunnel closures are planned for the weekends of May 31 and June 7.
