It was a rough rush hour this morning for "T" riders who endured delays because of two separate problems Downtown.

The first problem occurred around 6:30 a.m. when an inbound Red Line at Wood Street lost power, Port Authority spokesman Jim Ritchie said.

The operator couldn't get the trolley restarted, so maintenance workers had to tow the vehicle.

Around 10 a.m., a Library Blue Line car got stuck near Gateway Station on a piece of insulation covering a section of track, a problem that crops up occasionally, Mr. Ritchie said.

Rail technicians were deployed to fix the problem.

The delays caused domino-like effects on service in both directions.

Mr. Ritchie said the light-rail transit system is back to running normally. breaking - region - Transportation
