Pittsburgh Festival of Firsts: 'Kiss & Cry' mixes mediums for a unique experience

The Pittsburgh International Festival of Firsts presents "Kiss & Cry," a unique experience in a miniature world by NanoDanses of Beligium.
Tonight is the last chance to experience the romantic vision of "Kiss & Cry" by NanoDanses of Belgium. The wildly creative blend of film, dance, text and theater by Michele Anne De Mey and Jaco Van Dormael follows a woman nearing the end of her life as she recounts her greatest loves.
"Miniature sets become tiny universes that host both potent and delicate scenes full of true poetry," is how the cultural website Nuvol.com describes "Kiss & Cry," in which hands visually portray characters amid a scaled-down world.
The show is at the New Hazlett Theater, North Side, at 8 tonight; tickets are $25 at trustarts.org or 412-456-6666.
