West Virginia is bringing back another former coach in former wide receivers coach Lonnie Galloway, a source confirmed Saturday to the Post-Gazette.
Galloway is expected to coach the receivers, moving offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson to pick up quarterback coaching duties along with remaining the team's offensive coordinator.
Galloway was a member of the late Bill Stewart's staff from 2008 to 2010, when he left for Wake Forest.
The move comes on the heels of the team losing former quarterbacks coach Jake Spavital, who left for Texas A&M this week to coach the same position for the Aggies, the Post-Gazette reported Friday.
Coach Dana Holgorsen also hired another former assistant this week in Tony Gibson and ECU defensive coordinator Brian Mitchell to replace two assistants he let go.
All three hires are still going through the university's formal vetting process.
