Smith looks sharp during NFL pro day

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Geno Smith completed 60-of-64 passes at West Virginia's pro day today with a crowd of representatives from 29 of 32 NFL teams.
Two of those passes were dropped and one got stuck in the netting of the Caperton Indoor Facility on campus.
Smith threw to two of his favorite receivers - Tavon Austin and Stedman Bailey -- who along with Smith are considered top draft picks. He also completed passes to J.D. Woods, Shawne Alston, Ryan Nehlen, and Ryan Clarke.
At least two NFL head coaches were present, including Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin and Jacksonville Jaguars Coach Gus Bradley.
Smith met with the Jaguars for nearly an hour after workouts before speaking with reporters, who were permitted to watch the workout.
"Overall I've had a fun time with this," said Smith. "Teams have given me high remarks and said good things about me. I guess we'll see on draft day."
A total of 16 seniors worked out during the morning session and in the afternoon former quarterback Pat White worked out in his comeback bid.
White has been out of football for two years since being cut by the Miami Dolphins after his storied West Virginia career.
"I was just following my heart," said White of his comeback, adding his two years out of the game were "probably two of the hardest years of my life."
