Five decades ago, when NFL owners sat down with members of the newly formed players' union and agreed to pay them for pre-season games, the Steelers were represented by 24-year-old Dan Rooney.
The book -- "Dan Rooney, My 75 Years with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL" -- is available in stores on Monday, the day the Steelers honor their 75th anniversary all-time team as part of their game against the Baltimore Ravens. Published by DeCapo Press, it sells for $26.
