Tomlin: Polamalu, Woodley unlikely to play Thursday

Coach Mike Tomlin said today it is likely that safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker LaMarr Woodley will not play in Thursday night's road game against the Tennessee Titans because of injuries.
What's more, Tomlin said Woodley's hamstring injury is "less severe" than the re-injury Polamalu sustained to his right calf in the first quarter of Sunday's 16-14 victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Tomlin characterized Woodley's injury as a "mild hamstring injury, if there is such a thing." But, because of the short week, he is not expected to play. He will be replaced by Jason Worilds, who played very well after Woodley left the game in the first quarter.
PG VIDEOPolamalu aggravated the calf injury that caused him to miss games against the New York Jets and Oakland Raiders, and it could be a while before he returns. He sustained the injury the week leading up to the season opener in Denver, though he played against the Broncos.
"We'll evaluate him after Tennessee," Tomlin said.
Polamalu has been replaced by backup safety Ryan Mundy, though Tomlin said they might consider using veteran Will Allen in that role. Mundy has been the culprit on many touchdowns this season.
