Steelers linebacker James Harrison had back surgery postponed Monday morning because of a fever, according to his agent.

Bill Parise said Harrison's surgery, which he called "very routine," will be rescheduled soon and that he should be able to resume training in a month to six weeks.

Harrison, who led the Steelers with 10 1/2 sacks and made his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl, started all 19 games for the Steelers in the 2010 regular season and postseason.

"They do not anticipate any difficulties," Parise said of the surgery. "He's going to be fine."

Parise said the surgery was to involve the lower back but declined to offer further information until the surgery was completed.
