Suisham converts in OT

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Steelers Hines Ward, Casey Hampton and other veterans learned something about their new kicker.
"I actually found out his name," Ward said. "He was just known as No. 6."
No. 6 Shaun Suisham made all four of his field-goal tries Sunday, including the winner from 41 yards in overtime, to salvage the Steelers' 19-16 victory against the lowly Buffalo Bills. In a mistake-filled game that included many goats and heroes, Suisham came out on top for a team he joined two weeks ago after coach Mike Tomlin lost patience with veteran kicker Jeff Reed.
"How about Shaun bangin' field goals for us!" Tomlin proclaimed. "He's now a Steeler. Casey Hampton and others know his name now."
The winning kick came with 2:14 left in overtime to avert what would have been a crucial loss to a Buffalo team whose record fell to 2-9.
"That," said Suisham, "was a lot of fun."
Suisham's other kicks came from 45, 46 and 48 yards on a cold, windy day at Ralph Wilson Stadium. His 48-yarder into the wind gave the Steelers a 16-13 lead with 6:19 left in regulation.
The Steelers remained in first place in the AFC North Division at 8-3 despite letting a 13-0 halftime lead slip through their fingers. Although they never trailed, things looked bleak -- a word Tomlin used -- in overtime.
Buffalo's Rian Lindell tied the score with a 49-yard field goal, his third, with two seconds left in regulation. The Bills then seemed ready to win it on the opening kickoff of overtime. Leodis McKelvin broke free up the middle, turned on the jets and only had one man to beat -- his own. Buffalo's Arthur Moats collided with McKelvin and brought him down at the Steelers' 48. The Bills moved only to the 41 and punted.
