Fans attending the Pittsburgh Steelers' preseason game Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts will have to be screened by metal detectors before entering Heinz Field.

The new security procedure will be in effect for all home games throughout the season and is a new requirement for all NFL stadiums.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to allow extra time for the screening, which will utilize handheld metal detectors. The Steelers said the new procedure "will enhance the current screening process and ensure a safe game day environment for all."
