Steelers' Brown unhappy about sniping

One anonymous quote by one Steelers player critical of linebacker LaMarr Woodley has snowballed into a discussion among teammates as to what kind of loyalty exists in their locker room.
The latest to come forward with a stinging assessment is wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was the team's MVP in 2011.
Brown declared that the Steelers weren't "really together" this past season and that the anonymous comment criticizing Woodley "just shows you the men we had in our locker room"
"It's just sad," Brown said Wednesday on an appearance on ESPN's "First Take.". "Our team was a team last year where guys wasn't really together. As we know in the NFL, you got to have a band of brothers. Everyone got to be together, and it got to filter down from the leadership."
Brown was responding to an anonymous player, quoted in a column Sunday by Ron Cook in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, critical of Woodley.
"He was awful," Cook quoted the teammate on Woodley's performance last season. "He tells us he works out, but we didn't see it. He wasn't in shape. That has to be a reason why he was always hurt."
Brown said: "For guys to throw a guy like LaMarr Woodley, a Pro Bowl player, under the bus just shows you the men we had in our locker room. And it's something that we want to get corrected for 2013 ...
"It you are going to speak out about something, be a man and claim it. But don't go in the newspaper speaking out about our Pro Bowl linebacker and not mentioning your name. Then other guys supporting it ... it goes to show you that we wasn't a team in 2012. So some of the things we got to iron out and we're looking to get those things corrected."
Earlier in the week, safety Ryan Clark said on the NFL Network that the comment "shows there is a fracture" on the team. And linebacker Larry Foote told 93.7 The Fan that whoever made the comment on Woodley is "breaking the code when you do that."
