Even before the Super Bowl was out of single Roman numerals, it ceased being a game and morphed into a week-long celebration. We offer a daily planner to help fans follow along at home.

Today

Pro Bowl: 7:20 p.m. ... The game is played the week before the Super Bowl for the first time and out of Honolulu for the first time since 1980. TV: ESPN.

Monday

The arrivals: The Saints are expected to arrive about noon, the Colts about 5 p.m. What are the odds we'll see pictures of their pilots flying team flags out of the airplane windows?

Tuesday

Media Day: 10 a.m. ... So many reporters, so little time, so few stories. The media get to ask the serious and the not-so-serious questions at the week's mass gabfest in Sun Life Stadium. TV: ESPN News, NFL Network.

Wednesday

First practices: The Colts and Saints get in their first workouts of Super Bowl Week. But as we all know by now, the real game-planning was done last week.

Friday

State of the NFL: 11:30 a.m. ... President Obama had his night this past Wednesday. Commissioner Roger Goodell gets his turn. TV: NFL Network.

Saturday

Hall of Fame: 5 p.m. ... Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith are mortal locks to hear their names when the Class of 2010 is announced. Who will join them? Dermontti Dawson, Russ Grimm and Dick LeBeau are finalists. TV: NFL Network.

Sunday

NFL Network: 9 a.m. ... The network that bills itself as the official record of the league kicksoff 81/2 hours of pregame coverage. TV: NFL Network.

NFL Countdown: 10 a.m. ... For those who don't get NFL Network -- and there are still many of you -- Chris Berman, Tom Jackson & Co. deliver their take on Super Bowl Sunday with a four-hour pre-pregame show. TV: ESPN.

The Super Bowl Today: 2 p.m. ... Just as ESPN goes away, the network of the Super Bowl (this year) steps in to take fans up to almost kickoff. TV: KDKA.

Kickoff Show: 6 p.m. ... By now, fans will have been worked to a fever pitch, building up to ... Carrie Underwood stepping up to sing the national anthem. TV: KDKA.

Super Bowl XLIV: 6:25 p.m. ... Finally, the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts will emerge from the fireworks smoke and two weeks worth of hype to play the game. Or, if you'd prefer, to provide a distraction between the commercials. TV: KDKA.
