Ski Rally

The Western Pennsylvania Ski Council will play host to its 20th Annual Ski Rally, an open-to-the-public fun event for the entire family, Feb. 12 at Seven Springs.

Two- to four-member teams will search for clues on the mountain from 1-3 p.m. The $10 fee includes a rally party in the Matterhorn Lounge. Children 12 and younger are free. Register from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the base lodge.

Boyce re-opens

Boyce Park, which had closed temporarily to conserve its snow base during the abnormally warm and wet weather, reopened Friday for skiing and snowboarding. The snowtubing lanes will remain closed until snow conditions improve.

The Allegheny County-owned area, one of the best places to learn to ski and snowboard, plans to be open from 3:30-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.-10:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
