Sophomore Latif Rivers matched his season high with 28 points while Wagner converted a season-high 34 free throws en route to a decisive 80-69 victory against Robert Morris.

The sophomore guard had 17 points in the first half, when the Seahawks (18-4, 9-3 NEC) shot 60 percent (12 of 20) and led by as many as 17 points while taking a 44-30 lead at the break.

The Colonials came no closer than six points the rest of the way, 71-65 with 2:09 left in the game. Two free throws by Chris Martin and a three by Rivers built the lead back to 11 points.

With the victory, the Seahawks avenged a Northeast Conference quarterfinal loss to the Colonials a year ago.

RMU, which has played in the conference championship game in each of the past three years, fell to 16-8 (7-4).

Forward Mike McFadden led the Colonials with 10 points and 6 rebounds while Brandon Herman scored 11 points off of the Robert Morris bench.

Lucky Jones and Velton Jones added nine points each for Robert Morris.
