Paul Jones' journey in the game of football has been a roundabout one of recent, but, for the time being, it looks as though it will feature a return to Pittsburgh.

The former Sto-Rox standout, who left the Penn State football team in late September, tweeted Monday that he will transfer to and continue his football career at Robert Morris.

"I'll be going to school at Robert Morris University and will be playing football there," Jones tweeted from his personal account.

Due to NCAA rules, the school could not confirm that Jones would be joining the team, but athletic department officials said that the team is "actively recruiting him."

Ranked among the top 10 quarterback prospects nationally by both Scout and Rivals coming out of Sto-Rox, Jones was a backup quarterback for the Nittany Lions before being moved to tight

end by first-year coach Bill O'Brien. Jones left the team after its fourth game of the season.

Since Robert Morris is a Division I-AA school, Jones would be able to play for the Colonials in the 2013 season.
