Colonials second in preseason poll

Robert Morris received three first-place votes and was picked to finish second in the Northeast Conference in a poll of league basketball coaches Tuesday, the seventh consecutive season the Colonials were picked in the top three.
LIU-Brooklyn was given the preseason favorites nod.
Velton Jones, a 6-foot guard, was chosen for the All-NEC team along with senior forwards Julian Boyd and Jamal Olasewere of LIU-Brooklyn, senior guard Shane Gibson of Sacred Heart and junior forward Ike Azotam of Quinnipiac.
In the women's poll, the Colonials were picked fifth, and junior forward Artemis Spanou was named to the preseason team for the second consecutive season.
